Extending service 1000 ft from existing service

I just purchased land on a road that turns off a state highway that has service. The property is 1000 ft from that highway and there are houses all up that road. I want to build on the property, and would like to keep my cable service when we are done building since I've had this same email address for almost 30 years. How do you go about requesting service be extended down a road?

Hello there, @user_1b3c6c. We are able to submit a serviceability ticket to see if we can extend service to your new home. However, we would need a physical address first before we can do that. It must also be registered with USPS.

@ComcastKorie thank you. We should have an address in a couple of weeks. Do I need to contact anyone specifically, or repost here?

I'm considering a house in Powhatan adjacent to Redland Rd.  Apparently, the house is 1000 ft beyond the main box.  What are other solutions Comcast is willing to offer?

Hello!

This is a great question! We are always grateful to be your choice of providers and we will do all that we can to offer our services. At times, the location you are in may not be serviced by us. We can submit a serviceability request to see if its possible to extend service to your home. Our field team will look it over and see what options we have to extend our service if that option is available.

I can help you to get the ball rolling with checking to see if we can service your home. I would need you to send me a direct message so that we can discuss personal information.

Here's the detailed steps to Direct Message us:
• Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Direct Message" icon (upper right corner of this page)
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send your message

I no longer work for Comcast.
