Existing customer looking to move to the national 1 Gbps $50/mo 5-Year Price Guarantee

I have been an Xfinity customer for over 6 years and am currently paying $55 for 500 Mbps having come off a $50 for 1GB deal for 5 years. I see the national promotional tier is offering 1 Gbps for $50 on a 5-year price lock. I want to transition my account to this rate immediately to avoid canceling my service for Verizon Fios. Can this be done? Thanks

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hi. Thanks. Yes I’ve checked that and the price is $100 pm for 1GB so double the offer for new customers which is not rewarding customer loyalty at all.

We definitely value you as a customer and truly appreciate your loyalty, from the bottom of our hearts. I know for myself, I like to save as much money as possible on my bills so I totally get where you're coming from. As a corporate team, I can tell you our options are the same across the board at every level. We are not able to alter promotions, packages or pricing at our discretion in any way and all pricing is set in our systems. I know this isn't the answer you're looking for and for that, I am very sorry. We always will make sure we're offering you the best possible promotions that we have available at any given time. Our priority is to save you as much money as possible. @user_55g2j3

Oh ok. I heard that the staff on this forum had authority to offer better deals than call staff and you could extend offers to existing customers that are available to new customers. My mistake.

Seems like it’s worth giving FIOS a try as even if it doesn’t work out, I’ll get new customer deals if I come back to Xfinity.
