Exchanging defective cable-boxes and seeing the same defect in the next box at home.

I visited the N. Charleston Xfinity store to exchange a cable-tv box.  When I returned home, I set-up the box for normal use. The box functioned normally, but the digital clock on the front of the box was very dimly-light.  Even in the dark, it was difficult to see in the dark, at maximum brightness. I visited a different store West of the Ashley.  I exchanged this questionable box for another cable-tv box. I took it home, plugged it in and got the same condition: Although the box functioned normally, the digital clock was too dim to read at maximum brightness, in the dark.  I still have this second cable-tv box.  I give up trying to get a box that would show the digital time as brightly as it should.  I doubt I could retrieve the original cable-tv box. It's probably gone to "cable-tv box heaven".

What I don't understand is the apparent lack of "quality control" at Comcast or wherever these boxes come from. Aren't these boxes inspected before shipping?  Shouldn't they be?  Whatever happened to concern by the maker or supplier of their product bedfore handing it to a customer? Whatever happened to caring about what the customer receives from the company?  Whatever happened to insuring the customer is happy with the sercvice or product they are given? I'm still waiting for an e-mail from Comcast asking me if I'm happy with the service I received from 2 recent visits to stores in N. Charleston and West Ashley.  The people were O.K., the products I received were not.

Hello remoat

Appreciate you taking the time to reach out. I will make sure to share your feedback on the clock brightness, but to be fully transparent, that is something we had just updated the clock lighting based on lots of customers feedback that the light was too bright. I am sorry that the max light preference is not meeting your needs, but that would be the max brightness allotted for the box. I did include one of the posts here below as example of the clock being too bright, to be honest, this is the first time I have heard that it was not bright enough, and I will make sure to share the feedback with our teams.
