ESCALATION NEEDED - 36 Days Without Internet

New service installation unresolved since July 24 — need escalation

I am requesting escalation for a new internet installation that has now been unresolved for more than a month.

My original Xfinity installation was scheduled for July 24. The technician was unable to complete the installation because the line to our home was not properly connected under the street, and additional outside work was required.

I was later told that the necessary line work had been completed and the line had been buried. I called Xfinity again last Monday and was told that a technician would come to my home on Wednesday to complete the installation. No technician arrived, I received no appointment confirmation or update, and I have heard nothing from Xfinity since.

It is now August 28, more than five weeks after our original installation date, and we still do not have Xfinity internet service.

I work from home and reliable internet is essential for my job. We have had to use a temporary wireless internet solution while waiting, but it is not providing a reliable enough connection for me to work.

At this point I need someone who can review both the construction/drop work and the installation order and determine:

  1. Whether the underground/outside line work is actually complete.
  2. Whether the home is now ready for a technician to complete installation.
  3. Why the technician visit I was promised last Wednesday never occurred.
  4. A confirmed technician appointment to complete our installation as soon as possible.

I have made multiple calls and have been waiting since July 24. I would greatly appreciate assistance from the Xfinity Support/Digital Care team in getting this escalated and resolved.

Hi there. We can understand why you’re frustrated after waiting since July 24, especially when you were told the outside work was completed and then expected a technician last Wednesday who never arrived.

At this point, we do not want to send you through the same scheduling process again without first confirming what is actually complete. Our team can review the construction and drop work, verify whether the home is ready for installation, look into what happened with the technician visit you were expecting, and determine the next available step to get the installation completed.

Can you please send us a direct message with your full name and service address so we can take a closer look?

How to send us a direct message:

- Click “Sign In” if necessary.
- Click the “Direct Messaging” icon.
- Click the “Start new conversation” icon, which looks like a pencil and paper.
- In the “To:” line, type “Xfinity Support.”
- As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select “Xfinity Support” from that list.
- An “Xfinity Support” graphic will replace the “To:” line.
- Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
- Press Enter to send it.

Talk to you there!
