[Edited: Personal Information] called me today and said I had foreign ip's logging onto my system. That I needed to DOWNLOAD something and they had my acct #
ANd worst of all they TExtEd me a code from the same text chain that I get comcast texts from, they sent me a code and did not ask for it but to prove it was them.
When he tried to get me to download something I said I had to hang up and call Xfinity and he hung up.
But that text he sent, really fooled me, thank goodness I know not to download anything.
Had me cmd prompt netstat to see the foreign stuff but after googling I guess that is normal. I dont know, I called Xfinity of course and they told me they saw no record of it being them that made the call.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hey @Libertas, Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. We greatly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience regarding the recent phone call you received. Phishing calls can happen at any moment, so I am glad you decided to hang up and call Xfinity to confirm. This is always a recommended action to take if you receive a suspicious call.
We also recommend checking our Xfinity Internet Security web page where you provide tools to report phishing, online harassment, firewall issues, blocked websites and more. You can also visit the 'Alerts' page where you can view Comcast Security Alerts and Top Phishing Scam.
If you experience anything similar in the future, please do not hesitate to call us at 1-800-XFINITY. You can also start a live chat using the Xfinity Assistant that is built into our awesome Xfinity App where you can view your account information, service status, and more.
