@user_a6369f Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us! I hope you are having a lovely day. Easements are handled at the local level. Each state and municipality may have different rules and processes regarding easements. I recommend reaching out to your city to see what they require to vacate or close an easement.

Thank you for that additional information! That changes things quite a bit! Do you know if there are utilities using that easement? Most of the time, we are using the utilities' easements.

There are no utilities across the back of my property. The current att and comcast lines end at the corner of the property line. There would still be a 15' easement for any potential future work.

Does Xfinity offer a discount for utilizing the easement in my backyard?

Hello, I have a question about getting information on a utility easement running through the front of my residential property, and potentially getting a variance to allow the building of a deck into part of the easement depending on the dimensions of the easement.  With whom should I speak?

Hi, @user_91f2f5. Great question. You would contact your city department that handles it. Also, it is against Forum guidelines to post on multiple threads for the same issue and is recommended you make you own public one time post with your issue. Thanks!
