do i need to return a cable card?

I terminated my service.  I'm getting messages saying I need to return equipment, but all I have is a cable card and was told I don't need to return that.  Do I need to do something with the cable card?

Hey user_nxsu4a, thanks for reaching out to Xfinity Support on our forums. It may be because of the cable card but there isn't a charge for not returning cable cards so that would be surprising. When you get a chance, can you send us a direct message so I can check what's going on?

To send a direct message:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

• Click the "Direct messaging" icon near the top right of the page

• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

• Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

• Press Enter to send it
