Disappointment Over Loss of NFL Network & RedZone — Considering Leaving Xfinity
I’ve been a loyal customer of for years, largely because of access to NFL Network and RedZone. Losing those channels is extremely disappointing and makes me question the value of staying.
This is a big part of why I’ve continued paying for your service, and without it, I’m seriously considering exploring other providers that offer what I actually watch. Xfinity should be doing more to keep their customers happy, especially when it comes to key channels like these.
I’m undecided whether to wait and see if this gets resolved, but it may be time for me to move on.

This is a follow-up to my original post regarding Xfinity dropping NFL Network/RedZone and me considering leaving. I had an appointment with AT&T this past Saturday and was honestly surprised to learn I’d be paying almost $200 less if I switched. On top of that, they still carry NFL Network and RedZone.
I stayed with Xfinity over the years because I believed in loyalty, but it feels like that loyalty wasn’t returned as my bill kept increasing year after year. This whole situation may have been a blessing in disguise because it opened my eyes to how much I’ve been overpaying. I honestly assumed every provider charged about the same, and that was my mistake.
I’m still doing my research before making a final decision, but definitely food for thought for anyone who hasn’t compared providers in a while.

It's not a Xfinity problem, having worked in a cable company, it's the network that's the problem, they're trying to put this in a higher tier of channels that will cost us more to get NFL network and Redzone. Xfinity is battling them to keep in the same channel lineup so it wont cost us more. Believe me, I miss my GMFB too. In the end I believe we will get it back.

No, you're part of a paid campaign by ESPN to try to leverage COX into caving in a negotiation for which they have all the leverage. And you're not fooling anyone.

What really angers me with Xfinity is there are no loyalty programs. There’s more options everyday. This will most likely send me streaming sooner than later. I think if you’ve been a customer for over 30 years you should get some kind of loyalty

Nope.. years of paying these idiots and being loyal means nothing to them. In fact, the new customers are worth more. So it's time to say good-bye.

I went to watch the NFL new schedule on NFL network only to learn that XFINITY has dropped this program, NFL Redzone. However, they are still charging all the customers $9.95 a month. When I asked the Xfinity person if you are going to send out an email and stop charging the customers, I was told that I could be reimbursed but no information was going out to the public.
I asked if thousands of Xfinity customers would be contacted and be reimbursed and I was told that was not going to happen because it is still IN DISPUTE. In other words, XFINITY is collecting $9.95 from customers but not offering the service. They are taking (or stealing? or investing?) millions of dollars and not informing the customers.
As I read the comments below, they continue to state that they are keeping the money Until OR IF a new contract is reached.
It is ironic that I signed a contract worth millions (using ARPA funds) to bring Xfinity into areas in my County in WV next year and now I have to tell my constituents that the NEW Xfinity policy is to keep money, and not inform the public, when there is a problem. WOW....so disappointed in Xfinity.... You need to be upfront and inform your customers.................
