Direct message

I wish to send a direct message to check the status of a ticket but I don't see the message icon in the top right corner. How can I send a direct message?

If you're looking for the status of a ticket, just to let you know, most open tickets on your account should be viewable via the Xfinity Assistant or on the Support page.  You can get additional information here if you would like to try to get your status as well: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/check-status-support-ticket

Typically, the direct message icon shows in the upper right corner of the site to the left of your profile icon.  It looks almost like a square speech bubble at the top, and there is usually a bell shaped notification icon there as well. 

You must be signed in to see it.  If it's not showing for you, then you may want to log out of the page, clear your cache and cookies, and try again.
