daily usage report

I need a daily usage report to better understand why my internet usage was so unusually high this month. It would also be great if there was a way to see which devices drew how much data. None of the answers in the form seem to work for me. What should I do?

user_64q2bd The tools provided by Xfinity will offer you a cumulative view of daily data usage, there is no current way to break that down by device. There are a lot of 3rd party tools you can use from a network management standpoint. I would check into any devices in the network that might be doing backups to cloud based resources. That is the most common reason for seeing spikes in usage from my experience. Here is the link that explains how you can see the data usage on your end.

I need a daily usage report ...

We've been asking for it for years but they won't do it. It would cost them a few pennies.

In the distant past employee "ComcastTeds" (now "@CCTeds") was able to provide daily data usage numbers upon request, but since his departure from the Forums several years ago no other employees have taken on the task. To get daily usage info you'd have to visit the usage meter page at https://customer.xfinity.com/#/devices#usage frequently and keep your own record of the readings. Despite the obvious benefit, Comcast/Xfinity isn't willing to do it for you.

I would like a daily usage report to see if there are days where the usage is high so that I can do something about it.  I agree with others asking the same question that this should be easy and a no-brainer for Xfinity.  Unless, of course, finding data usage issues might impact their revenue.....

I was away for most of March and my usage that month was still 50% of a "normal" month.  While I was away from home I should be looking every day at the XFinity App to monitor it?  I think XFinity could monitor that for me, so I can review when I get home.  Not much of a vacation trip if I'm working for XFinity every day of it.
