Customer Service is a Joke
My internet went out.
First was connected to a representative through the online chat feature. This person was short, condescending and rude. They had me repeat steps several times - told me to check cable connections were tight at least 3 times. Minutes after asking the previous time. After telling me the issue was with cables outside, I was told I needed an appointment for a technician to come out. The representative then told me that they could not schedule it and I would have to do so myself. After I said that was ridiculous that support could not schedule a solution, they were magically able to schedule an appointment - sent me multiple texts of the exact same "prep" for an appointment and scheduled it for 4 days out. Then tried offering me a mobile package for my troubles.
I was then called later in the evening by another representative who apparently ran more tests on their end and said they could not fix the issue. There was no issue with this gentleman.
My appointment was scheduled between 10am-12pm. I confirmed it the morning of through texts after receiving the text to do so. After 12pm came and gone, I texted the number to confirm the appointment was still there. Which told me there were no scheduled appointments on my account.
I then called support. The woman, told me I had an appointment scheduled and kept confirming the date and time as "tomorrow" but the date was for the day of the call. She said she could find no further detail, but that someone would be out at some point and agreed that I had to cancel all plans for my day as someone could come out within the next few minutes or 4 hours from then. She was rude and continued to try to speak over me multiple times.
When I asked to speak with a supervisor to ask if they could contact the technician or dispatch to narrow down the window frame of "any time" - I was put on hold for over an hour.
Logging into the online portal through my account, I can see no appointment listed. Based on this entire experience, I would not recommend xfinity to any one - and would certainly not reccomend or promote their customer service department - as there has still been no solution nor do I have working internet.
