Contractor messing with box in my yard, unable to provide proof of working for Comcast.
My camera went off, I see 2 men in my yard looking at the internet box in my driveway. I asked them what they were doing, they said they were 'balancing the box' and were sent by Comcast. They were driving a regular unmarked silver truck, with no information on their truck or persons that they were contractors or had any kind of identification or license they could provide me.
They did something to the box and left it exposed, and then left with it still exposed.
What do I do in this case?
If these are truly contractors, they need to have something on their vehicle or on their person that can confirm they are doing contract work for Comcast, yes? And if it's not required, it should be, especially when they are on someone's property and don't announce themselves. I don't like strange people on my property who can't tell me a straight answer, it's a security concern.

Hi there, @user_lf2024! Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community Forum! We do perform balancing work when needed and that could include utilizing easement access. We also do have contracting teams. I can certainly understand your concern and can pass along that great feedback. As far as the exposed box, we can get someone out to take care of it! Please send a direct message to us by clicking the chat icon in the upper right corner of the page, click on the pen and paper icon, then enter “Xfinity Support” in the “To” section. Please include your full name and complete street address. Thanks!
