Comcast Package Delivered To Me By Mistake

A Comcast package was just delivered to my address by mistake.   How do I get Comcast to pickup their package?

Shekky64 Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to post. Our team is happy to help. If you received a package that you did not order, you will need to return it to the local service or UPS store. If the paclage is addressed to you, you may be able to schedule a pickup on the UPS website.

Nope.  The package is not addressed to me, I did not request it, and am under no obligation to take my time to drive it to a return facility.  I am happy to faciltate pickup by Comcast or the customer however.

Shekky64 Totally understandable. Since you already have the label, you may be able to schedule a pickup with UPS here: https://www.ups.com/ipr/schedule-pickup?loc=en_US 
 
We are not able to send a technician to pick it up. Otherwise, it would need to be returned to a local UPS or Xfinity service center. 
 
We would be happy to take a look at crediting options for your account if you can find the time to return it. Let us know what works best!

Is there a way I can privately give you the name of your customer and you can contact them?  The addressee is down the street from me but it is a gated complex and I have no way to access it or contact them myself.   I would have just walked it down there if I could.  For the record, delivery was by someone in a private car and not UPS.  Package is only labeled Comcast.

Understood. Is there a phone number listed on the shipping label beneath the recipient's name? While we are not able to contact another customer on your behalf through this platform, you may be able to reach them directly if a phone number is provided on the package.

 

Otherwise, the equipment would need to be returned. Unfortunately, we would not be able to generate a return label for that device because it is not associated with your account. If you're unable to contact the intended recipient, returning the package to the carrier or marking it as delivered to the wrong address would likely be the best next step.

 

We also want to thank you for taking the time to help get the equipment back where it belongs. If you do end up returning it, we'd be happy to place a courtesy credit on your account for the time and effort you spent assisting with the return. Please just let us know once it has been taken care of.
