I pay for fast internet service and is 2.33 downloads. i work from home and will lose my job. w want to speak with a person

The fast internet service you pay for is critical for your work, and seeing a download speed of just 2.33 is absolutely unacceptable. When your job is on the line, that's incredibly stressful. I bought a new modem router combo and will connect it tomorrow. It’s an arris surfboard. Do i need to chat with or talk with someone to connect it?

You should be able to quickly and easily add a modem using the Xfinity App. I recommend taking a quick peak at our 'Activate an Xfinity Gateway or third-party modem with the Xfinity app' support page which will go through the steps on how to add and activate a new device on the account.
