Can't get someone out to fix a low-hanging outside wire.
The cable running from the street to my house has detached from the wire from which it used to be suspended. It is now hanging low across my driveway and the stairs to my porch, preventing me from using both. This happened two weeks ago. Since then I have been calling almost every day to get someone out to fix it. Every time I call I am told that the problem is scheduled to be fixed that day, but no one shows up. Once I was told the technician was driving to my house that very minute. He never showed up. Once I was told I was "number four" on the schedule for that day, but no one showed up. Once I was told that someone would *definitely* be there between 3 and 5, but no one showed up. The next day, I was told that "no one would ever tell you that someone would show up within a two-hour window." That person told me someone would be out within three days. No one showed up. Every time I am told that my case will be "escalated." I must have been escalated right off the chart at this point. What can I do to get someone out to my house to reattach the cable so it isn't blocking my driveway? Calling every day seems not to be working. Perhaps I am being too calm and polite? Should I be screaming and yelling? Is that what it takes? Any help would be appreciated.
