Can't Cancel Service
I called to cancel my service because I am moving. I cannot transfer the service because the owner of the house where I am moving already has Xfinity. The rep told me that I can't set a date to cancel in the future (the move date is exactly four weeks away). He said I need to call a day or two before moving to cancel because it is not possible to do it now in the system. Every other service provider allows you to schedule a move date. There are so many things you have to do when moving. Having to remember to wait to cancel service "1 or 2 days before moving" seems very inconvenient. Was he correct in stating that I cannot cancel service?

I know moving can be stressful and we want to ensure the disconnect is as easy as possible for you. We would be unable to schedule a disconnect beyond 30 days. Once you are under the 30 days away from the disconnect date, we would be happy to get that scheduled for you. You do not have to wait until the move date is only 1 or 2 days.
