can't access Comcast.net email

For the last week I've been unable to access my comcast.net email.  When I log in, it's not accepting my password and the only password it will accept is for gmail.com.  I don't use gmail, it's my backup email.  Anything sent to me to gmail.com has always come into my comcast.net email.  Now I'm not getting any email and can't access comcast.net.

I have one device that keeps me logged into comcast.net.  Last night I got an email from comcast telling me that I haven't used my comcast.net email for 3 yrs and had 90d to save and close out what I have.  I've been using comcast.net exclusively for over 20 years.  So not sure what that's all about.

I need access to my comcast emails and I'd like to sync it w/my gmail account.  I need this ASAP as I have sensitive documents coming into my comcast and I'm not getting them and can't access them except from one home computer.

Thank you.

@user_xbkw08 Hello! Can you try performing a password reset and then see if you're able to access your email? You can go to (xfinity.com/password) to reset your password.

Okay, I went to the xfinity.com/password link.  I changed the email.  It brought me the xfinity home page.  I tried to access my comcast.net email on my IPhone and it is not loading and still is telling me I'm not logged into gmail.  So this did not work.  My primary email is comcast.net.  My backup is gmail.com.  ANything that comcast is my log in is not recognizing me.  I changed the password and tried to log into my google mail.  It's not recognizing my comcast.net.  This is what I got from xfinity yesterday.

We’re closing all inactive Comcast.net email accounts that have not been used in the last two years, and we noticed you have at least one inactive email address associated with your Xfinity account.

The following email account(s) will automatically close in about 90 days and any messages and data will be deleted unless you act soon:

When I reset my password as you indicated, on the one home device I can still access Comcast.net I got an email that my password for xxxxx@gmail.com was successfully changed.  I didn't change that password......It told me to click a link and it is not opening.  it says redirecting and then goes back to ifinityid and then redirecting and then back.  It's not opening.  Help please!

@user_xbkw08 We recommend gaining access on a computer/laptop on our web based portal as listed here on this helpful article: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/sign-in-to-customer-central. We recommend deleting cache and cookies before logging into your account. Please let us know after you attempt it.

You need to sign out of gmail, then clear your cache and cookies for gmail and xfinity.

Just an FYI, you need to access your comcast.net email periodically [90 days] from the website connect.xfinity.com/appsuite in order to keep your email account active.

I am having the same issue today. I am not receiving any new emails, though I can send email without a problem. I can access my Inbox via the web and I have changed my password successfully, I also cannot download new mail on my iphone. I updated to the latest iOS version this morning and I updated my password in the settings as well. On my laptop, I am just being prompted for the password box over and over again.

HELP!

@user_jxpwk7, hello! I would recommend making sure that you have the settings correct on your email client. You can find directions for various clients here. I would also suggest sending yourself an email and then checking via our web based mail to be sure that you are receiving mail.
