cancel service

Why does xfinity make it so difficult to cancel my service? My bill is now $170/month for just internet. Isn't it criminal to make it difficult for a customer to cancel their service? I've tried for a week. This is shady and not transparent and I no longer want anything to do with xfinity and it's affiliates.

Hi there, user_os3png! Sorry to hear you are looking to disconnect, would taking a look at your bill to see if we can help on the cost change your mind? As far as having trouble cancelling service, it is odd you have had trouble doing so. You can cancel online, over the phone or even at a service center if you choose. I am curious to what happened when you tried, and also I can certainly help you get it done if you choose! Please send a direct message to us by clicking the chat icon in the upper right corner of the page, click on the pen and paper icon, then enter “Xfinity Support” in the “To” section. Please include your full name and complete street address. We would be happy to work with you to get everything squared away!

@XfinityFrank​ I am also trying to cancel mine - I called twice last week and haven't gotten a call back. I need it canceled effective last Thursday as that is when I originally called! Can anyone help me with this?

Here's the detailed steps to direct message us:
• Click "Sign In" if necessary
• Click the "Direct Message” icon (upper right corner of this page)
• Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
• Type "Xfinity Support" in the to line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list
• Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
• Press Enter to send your message

If your talking about home internet and there modem Just disconect the modem and bring it to one of there xfinity stores If that is possible for you.  When you get there tell them to cancle it .  Thats what i did with cable boxes and they did it right  away gave me a recieipt that i turned in the  cable boxes .  Dont foget the plug or they will charge you for it...
