Cancel internet

I need to cancel internet. Joining my wife and she has Xfinity already. I want to set up in advance to cancel and turn in my flex box. I'm told I can only do this 48 hours in advance and I don't have time for Xfinity while trying to move. I can I work through this?

Hi @user_ftb996 and thanks for reaching out on our Xfinity Community forums!  We'd be happy to educate, and if needed, assist you with your concerns about cancelling your account. 

Typically, you can set up a cancellation for your services up to 30 days in advance using the Xfinity App, speaking with a customer representative (like us) or by visiting your local Xfinity Store.  (If it were me I'd set up my cancellation to occur the day after I actually moved out of my current location, that way if I still need access to my internet on move-out day I still have it.😀) 

Once the account is cancelled you have 30 days to return any equipment without incurring extra fees.  Billing for services would still stop on your requested date.  

Please note, if you are under a contract, cancelling early could cause a fee to be assessed on the account based on how many months are remaining with your existing services.  (If you are under contract and your wife is not, you might consider having them cancel their services and moving yours to your new location to avoid this.)

Hello,
I would like to cancel my service effective July 17, as I will be completing my work assignment in the United States and returning to South Korea.
Will I be able to ask about the process how to cancel my service?

Thanks for taking the time to stop by the community forums, user_r5eaat! We'll be sorry to see you go, but I can completely understand your reasoning. As my colleague XfinityCliff explained above, you can reach out to a customer representative through the Xfinity App, by chatting with the Xfinity Assistant, visiting your local Xfinity Store, or with one of us in private messaging if you'd prefer!

With any of these options, the agent you work with can schedule the disconnect for a day of your choosing up to 30 days in advance, and you would need to return any equipment from Xfinity within 30 days of cancellation, otherwise you'll likely be charged unreturned equipment fees.
