Cancel internet

I need to cancel internet. Joining my wife and she has Xfinity already. I want to set up in advance to cancel and turn in my flex box. I'm told I can only do this 48 hours in advance and I don't have time for Xfinity while trying to move. I can I work through this?

Hi @user_ftb996 and thanks for reaching out on our Xfinity Community forums!  We'd be happy to educate, and if needed, assist you with your concerns about cancelling your account. 

Typically, you can set up a cancellation for your services up to 30 days in advance using the Xfinity App, speaking with a customer representative (like us) or by visiting your local Xfinity Store.  (If it were me I'd set up my cancellation to occur the day after I actually moved out of my current location, that way if I still need access to my internet on move-out day I still have it.😀) 

Once the account is cancelled you have 30 days to return any equipment without incurring extra fees.  Billing for services would still stop on your requested date.  

Please note, if you are under a contract, cancelling early could cause a fee to be assessed on the account based on how many months are remaining with your existing services.  (If you are under contract and your wife is not, you might consider having them cancel their services and moving yours to your new location to avoid this.)
