Can I return xfinity equipment late?

I recently moved out of xfinity’s service area and in the chaos of everything, forgot to return my xfinity flex streaming box.

I was charged a fee for the missing equipment so I’d like to get it returned. When I go into the digital return center, however, no devices show up for me to select for a return. Can I return my equipment even without initiating the process online? Do I just box it up and take it to my UPS store without a shipping label?

I also read that as long as the only charges on your account are from unreturned equipment, they will be removed once the equipment is back in the warehouse. My late fee was apparently already paid via autopay, but is it possible to be refunded the charge after my equipment is returned?

Good afternoon, @pawigington! Congratulations on your new place! I hope you are getting settled in and out of the boxes. 😀 You are correct that when the equipment is returned the unreturned equipment charge is reversed. When your account is closed it is not possible to use the Digital Return Center so you will want to visit your local UPS store.

UPS will box, label, and ship the item free of charge. You do not need any information, you just tell them, "This goes to Comcast", and they take care of the rest. You get a receipt for your records. The charges are reversed once the Flex box is scanned in at our warehouse so that can take a week or so after you visit UPS.

I understand how things can get lost in the mix when moving. We would be happy to check on the late fee once you have that returned. When do you think you will visit the UPS store? We can follow up with you here.

@pawigington

And make sure you get a receipt at the time you return it to UPS.  I don't know if they do tracking numbers but if so go for that, too.
