Camera Recording Data Usage

This stupid thing wants me to use something from the prompts in order to ask a question however, not one of the prompts relates to me what I need to ask, and that is that I would like to activate my Camera to record, but To not add a lot of data to my Internet and it does not have that information for me to fix my issue because I know someone’s breaking into my house and I can’t get this camera to record because I don’t have my data said high enough, but I can’t afford to set my data higher but I need to record what’s going on inside my home because I gotta figure out who’s breaking into my house and changing and moving things

Hello, @user_yp4bby! Thank you for visiting our Xfinity Community Forum, and for leaving a comment with your concerns on this user's post. We've converted your comment into its own post under your username so that we can properly address any questions you still have. And you're in great hands with our team! We're awesome to work with because we'll always do whatever we can to help review and resolve issues quickly. To clarify, this is not an issue with Xfinity cameras, but personal/third-party devices? I know you mentioned affordability of more data. Do you own your modem, or are you leasing an Xfinity Wireless Gateway? Either way, we've got options for you! Thanks for taking the time to get started with us, and for giving us the chance to help :)

First I didn’t realize y’all would actually answer, second I’d spent over a hour and was literally crying in anger at this when I posted the remark. So I apologize for my abruptness and anger spilling out.

Second, yes I’ve learned it’s not a camera thing. As far as I know all the devices I was sent, being the camera and modem as well as whatever the little square box is, I am leasing. At this point I will add more data but I’d like to know how much and I have other questions specifically about what I can do about the camera recording when needed (when motion is detected) verses recording continuously. If I can’t adjust then I can certainly purchase my own camera eventually and try something different. I’m a single mom with two teen boys living at home. I get home at the same time my oldest does. I go pick up my youngest from his dads. So I know it’s not my boys moving things. Nothings missing, just not how I left them.

If you would like, we can always take a look at additional data options for you @user_yp4bby.  That is definitely something that we could assist with here on this platform.  Please feel free to shoot us a private message with your details whenever your ready so that we can get started.
