user_fwi3fm thank you for using the Xfinity Community Forums page to contact us. We would be happy to assist you with your line concerns. Just to confirm, you had a contractor for a separate service out at your residence, and they damaged the line connected to your property?
Correct. The gas company was here for service and cut the line that was buried improperly. The 2 ends of the cable are sticking out of the ground and it will be a 5 minute splice. We had this happen once before. I have been told the tech cannot get here until Fri night. I cannot be without internet for 2 full days, especially for a 5 minute job. Please help.
user_fwi3fm Thank you for those details. Did you already get the appointment for Friday set up by chance? We understand that it would be a quick repair; however, we would have to use normal scheduling options to get you the soonest appointment for a tech to come out. Sooner options would only be available if cancellations from other customers open new times. In the meantime, we do have Xfinity hotspots that may be able to help provide a connection.
