Hello @user_ef7160 and thanks for reaching out on our Xfinity Community forums!

I can understand how frustrating that would be, especially if your TV itself appears to be working normally but the picture on your cable channels is so dark that it's difficult to enjoy the program.

If you're using a Vizio TV, one of the first things I'd recommend is checking the TV's picture settings. Sometimes a recent update, input change, or picture mode adjustment can make the image appear much darker than intended. Try navigating to Menu then Picture and reviewing settings such as Picture Mode, Brightness, Backlight, Contrast, and Local Dimming. Switching temporarily to a mode such as Calibrated, Standard, or Vivid can help determine whether the issue is related to the current picture profile.

It can also be helpful to compare different sources. For example, do streaming apps built into the Vizio TV, such as Netflix or YouTube, look normal while only Xfinity channels appear dark? Or does the dark picture affect everything on the TV? Knowing whether the issue is limited to the cable box helps narrow down whether we're dealing with a TV setting or a signal/equipment issue.

If streaming apps look normal but only cable channels appear dark, let us know and we can help investigate further.
