Cable disconnected at the pole

Some service technicians came by today and unplugged the cable wire at the white box that it is connected to main wire on the pole. They didn’t knock on the door and let us know anything. My bill was paid on the 9th of this month and I don’t have any past due payments or anything.  Why would thy do that?

This what was done today. I was on the phone with customer service trying to figure out was going on and I walked outside and saw this.
