Bury Cable

Just had my internet hooked up today after the technician left I went outside to do some yard work and realized the cable from the box by the road to the house was just laying on the lawn. Was wondering if someone is supposed to come later and bury the cable and when that may be or if I’m supposed to schedule that or what? The technician didn’t mention anything to me about it. I can’t mow my lawn in fear of accidentally cutting the line so it can’t stay how it is.
