I am contacting in reference to 2 fees that I am charged: Broadcast TV Fee $ 19.45 and Regional Sport Fee $ 10.75. Why am I charged these fees?? I am hearing impaired and DO NOT watch any sport. And, why am I charged Broadcast TV Fee? NO OTHER PROVIDER CHARGES SUCH FEES! This is a serios issue. I have been a Comcast Customer for over 25 years now!!

Please see https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/most-common-taxes-fees-surcharges-on-your-bill. The only way to avoid the Sports fee is to reduce your TV subscription to one that does not include any Regional Sports channels. The only way to avoid the Broadcast fee is to drop TV service altogether. They charge these fees because it's highly profitable.

@HelloMD Below link has some information on these charges:

Broadcast TV Fee
The Broadcast TV Fee is an itemized charge that you'll see on your bill. This charge is not a government-mandated fee and will increase from time to time. It is based on our costs of providing the local broadcast stations that we carry on our cable systems in each area. These costs include the fees that the broadcast stations charge us to carry them on our cable systems, which are among our largest increasing costs. The Broadcast TV Fee is not included as a part of our promotional pricing or pricing under your minimum-term agreement and can increase during your promotion or minimum-term. You'll receive advance notice before an increase takes effect.
Regional Sports Network Fee
The Regional Sports Network Fee is an itemized charge that you'll see on your bill. This charge is not a government-mandated fee and will increase from time to time. It's based on our costs of providing the regional sports networks that we carry on our cable systems in each area. These costs include the fees that regional sports networks charge us to carry them on our cable systems, which are among our largest increasing costs. The Regional Sports Network Fee is not included in our promotional pricing or pricing under your minimum-term agreement and can increase during your promotion or minimum-term. You'll receive advance notice before an increase takes effect.

No other providers charges all these fees!!! In addition, other career provide the same channels without charging all these fees and also provide many more channels as well.
Customers should NOT be charged all these fees.

Are you sure about that? I know for a fact that Charter Spectrum and Cox charge those fees.

Not only are we being charged for something we never watch, but the channels we DO watch are most often so pixelated that they are impossible to watch...expecially later in the evening on the higher channels. Service is awful and you can never talk to a human being. I am seriously considering dropping them altogether and only being streaming/live individual packages from other services.

I signed a new 2 year contract, had them look into a plan that did not have sport fees, I sign a agreement that stated that my bill would be a certain amount and no sports fee was included but there was the broadcast fee, taxes, a fee for 1 cable box and the triple play plan... I went in the next day and screenshot my plan because I had issues before, no regional sports fee at all. My first bill for the new plan shows up and of course it shows the regional sports fee, I go into my account and look up my plan and above the broadcast fee now shows regional sports fee. I went into a Xfinity store and showed the employee and was told that he couldn't do anything and I had to call the 800 number, everytime I call they keep telling me in was in my plan when I signed up and I have screen shots that shows that it wasn't, who do I need to talk to so that this fee can be removed since it shouldn't be on there in the first place

Why am I charged a "broadcast fee"? When I received a converter box to which I plugged into my "old school" TV" and saw all broadcast channels for Free. I would like this fee waived. And.... from what I am reading---other companies don't charge this fee, why does Comcast charge this fee?
