Bait and Switch
1/22/2025, I contacted Xfinity via chat as my contract was due to expire and my goal was to try to save some money with a new plan. Ultimately I settled on ULTIMATE TV SUPERFAST, Internet of 800 Mbps, Xfinity StreamSaver, 2 cable boxes, and XFi modem. I was told that I would pay $243.29/mo (including tax). This wasn’t exactly saving me money but I was wore down from being passed from rep to rep having to repeat my story as none seemed to have listening skills.
1/29/2025, I contacted chat again as the cable box I returned at my local store has not been removed from my account. Out of the blue I was told that my bill is going to be $266.21 a month now?! My order confirmation email says my estimated bill is $243.29. If I log into my account, it says I currently pay $252/mo.
Why are there so many discrepancies in my bill? 1/29/2025 the reps seemed more interested in getting me in another plan which included smart watches than answer my questions. I cannot tell you how many HOURS I have wasted on this and trying to get assistance in activating AppleTV+ (which I fixed no thanks to Xfinity chat reps who constantly misinformed me). I feel completely deceived about the billing.
I should have dropped everything but Internet but I wanted to give Xfinity a chance. I regret that 100%.
