Autorenewal without consent?

Hello, I just received an order confirmation email for the services I currently have as of September 2023 for 24 months. Why is that? I did not request to renew and as I previously mentioned, my service started in September 2023 so it would be up in September 2025. If this is an unauthorized auto renewal with a contracted length for 24 months which I do not want, please retract it. I wish to remove tv services when my renewal period comes and not have a 24 month contract. Thank you!

user_0a9hds Hello. Thanks for reaching out. Our contracts do not auto renew. You might have got a phishing email but we are here to help you and investigate your account. Please feel free to send us your full name and complete address in a direct message. 

How to Send Us a Direct Message:
1. Click "Sign In" if necessary.
2. Click the "Direct Messaging" icon or visit Xfinity Direct Messaging.
3. Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon.
4. In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support".
5. As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
6. An "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
7. Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
8. Press Enter to send it.
