user_a9510h, Thanks for reaching out to Xfinity Support. I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with your email. When you get this error message, do you get an error code with it? If so, can you share that with us?

Actually, I just tried again and now everything seems fine. Was able to send an email. Must have been a temporary glitch.

Hello, user_yrnp93 thank you for taking time out of your day to create a post, I know how important it is to be able to send emails. I'm glad to hear that sending emails is working again.

If you're using a 3rd party email client and run into errors in the future, it is good to check your settings to ensure nothing changed: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/email-client-programs-with-xfinity-email?linkId=153050254. And to ensure the 3rd party access is on: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/third-party-email-access.

Here is a great document that has some specific errors and fixes if you ever run across any of these: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/email-errors.

I too am receiving an authentication email message:

"Message could not be sent to the following recipients: ["-[Edited: "Personal Information]" <-[Edited: "Personal Information]>] (550 - 550 5.1.0 Authentication required)"

I redacted the actual email, but I have sent to this email before.

I am using the web-based Xfinity email client -- there's no 3rd party email client being used here.

Same message on different devices, using only Xfinity web email, no client intermediary. Must be Xfinity problem.
