Apartment Unit- Business to Residential Internet
I recently inquired about setting up internet service at my apartment, and I was offered a business plan because my address comes up as business unit in the xfinity system (drawback to living in a cool midcentury mixed use building with retail underneath me I guess). However, I am looking for a personal plan that fits my residential needs rather than a business-oriented one. I was told I’d need a utility bill with my name on it as a last resort to set it up, but because of the age of the building and difficulty with splitting up utilities, the property management includes utilities in the rent for all the residential units. I can prove it’s a residence with my lease, or through USPS. It’s my legal residence on all my employer documents, insurance, etc. I’m not a business owner and my lease is only a year at the moment, so the business plan just isn’t for me, and I’m having trouble finding other providers. It’s feeling like I’m really out of options here.
Can anyone provide guidance on how I can set up a residential service, or help me get it switched? I’d appreciate any assistance or information you can offer to help me get the right plan for my apartment.

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.
