ALERT blacklisted IP address
I use xfinity email on my apple devices. It has been working fine for over 7 years. Now, when I try to download my email onto my iPhone or iPad while at home I get a message Service code “ALERT” server message “Temporarily blacklisted IP Address - try again later.
I have contacted customer service on the phone twice (ticket number [Edit: Identifiable information]) and each time they put me on hold, then come back after 10 minutes, then explain to me that they have talked to the right people and that I need to wait 24 hours then try again. It doesn’t work. I still get the same error.
Both email accounts ([Edit: Personal Information]) are affected. When I use a neighbors WiFi access, I don’t have this problem. So I am pretty sure the issue is my IP address being blacklisted by Comcast.

I’ve been having the exact same issue for a week now. I thought it because my iPhone wasn’t fully up to date on software so I updated last night. Email worked fine at work and every where else. The second I connect to home wifi (not through Comcast) I get the same error. I’ve deleted and readded my email 3 times. It works fine if I go through a web browser but I cannot get the mail app to work. It’s incredibly annoying and frustrating. I’ve seen others say if you have a VPN that turning it off may help but that hasn’t worked for me.

I've been having this same issue for the past couple of days. I finally got a straight answer from the Customer Security Assurance Team. If you didn't see the announcement (I hadn't), Xfinity is moving ALL email to Yahoo and eventually Xfinity will no longer be supporting email. The issue I'm having is that they're having some challenges with their servers during this migration. I did NOT authorize my data to be shared with Yahoo, so I hope I'm understanding the issue correctly. I've been told I should be able to access my email through 3rd party apps in a few DAYS. Until then, it's all available through Connect.Xfinity.com (which is just soooo wonderful to use, especially on an iPhone!!)
