Affordable Connectivity Program
Good morning. I received an e-mail yesterday about a program to assist with internet costs for up to $30/month per household. Here is the text of the first part of the e-mail...
You could get $30 a month toward Internet service through the Affordable Connectivity Program
Confirm your eligibility today
As a part of our ongoing commitment to keeping families connected to fast, reliable Internet, we're proud to participate in the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). This government program offers long-term financial assistance to qualified households of up to $30/month ($75/month for Tribal lands) toward Internet and mobile service.
It's easy to check to see if you are eligible for ACP.
The website that launches when clicking the link to check my eligibility is:
I just want to know...IS THIS LEGIT??? Or is it some scam to get your personal information/data??
Thanks!!

Hello there, and good morning/afternoon! I hope your day has been off to a great start! Thank you for bringing this to our attention through our Forums, and thank you for your patience while awaiting our response. I understand you are interested in this ACP program, and it is definitely legit! If you'd like me to send you some more information on how you could be eligible for this option, and how you can enroll, I'd be happy to get that information over to a good email address, although we'd like to keep that personal contact information private.
To do so, can you please send us a private message, including your full name, and your full address? You can do so, by clicking on the chat icon, in the top right hand corner of your screen, and once you click on that icon, you should be able to search "Xfinity Support", which should then give you the ability to send us a message. Thank you in advance, and I look forward to speaking with you!

Concern moved here to the Customer Service help section for greater exposure to actual Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

@XfinityTyler
I have been trying to get my Mother on this program for 3 months now. I have been on the phone multiple times with Internet Essentials employees, and I have been to the Williston store on several occasions. After 3 months, I am still unable to get this discount on my mother's account with no explanation as to why the discount is not coming through. The last time, I even received a confirmation number and yet, the bill just received has no discount. I am getting ready to file a complaint with the Vermont Attorney General Consumer Advocate Program and will be contacting the Vermont Department of Public Service Consumer Hotline.
Extremely Disappointed Customer!
