Address out of footprint despite there being an xfinity box on the side of the house

I just moved into a new build house. The entire community was built with comcast cables wired, and my house already has an xfinity box on the outside wall. Despite this, my address is showing as out of footprint. When I spoke to a customer service rep, I was told that even if the infrastructure is already present, comcast activates its service area in batches, would not do so until the whole area was ready to be activated, and that this could take >6 months. For the record, "area" refers to me and one neighboring house. Every single other house in the neighborhood already has service. It seems ridiculous that comcast is not able to provide service even when the cables are already in place. Is there a way to get the address serviceable?
