Xfinity Stream App only loading 1080p video

Hello, recently I purchased a 4k LG Smart TV. I downloaded the Xfinity Stream app on it and ran it. It seems like it can only reach 1080p resolution. I tried using other apps such as Netflix and Youtube and was successful in using 4k video there. Does the app just not support 4k? Thanks.
