Xfinity charging for INSP

I just received an email from INSP that Xfinity is going to charge $10 for INSP even though INSP doesn’t charge Xfinity for their programming. I don’t want that to happen. Why would Xfinity do that?

INSP is one of the channels I watch most of the day, every day.   The removal is very disheartening.   I've been a long-time subscriber for over 20 years.  It appears that Xfinity do not have any respect for its long-term customers.   I don't watch a lot of sports, but I do watch INSP.   Look like Xfinity is forcing me to make a change to service and move away.    I will not be paying more for something that not causing any additional expense to Xfinity.

I am personally furious!  My 84 y /o retired veteran husband watches the INSP channel religiously... literally!  He turns that channel on night and day... ALL night long.  You have raised the cost of this channel because there is so MUCH viewership.  You were already making a ton of money off of 50 year old shows, and now you are squeezing the elderly for more.  We currently pay $275 a month because we have to keep a home phone and internet... my husband needs those for his pacemaker / defibrillator.  And now, you want more from us to watch Gunsmoke.  Shame. On. You.

Folks, I don't know which path will bring us to our desired goal of reinstating this channel.

It's all about money....Dish is even worse....I hear they have been without CBS for almost a year, but are still being charged for it.

From INSP FaceBook Post…looks like those who switched to the new package are having issues and have wasted time on the phone with the [Edited: Inflammatory] to troubleshoot. WARNING: double whammy with extra cost and headache of hours of troubleshooting.

Has anyone upgraded to the sports package to keep insp? It only works on the main box and not on the additional boxes I have. Is this right or is there something else I need to do?

Tina , this is the exact problem I am having. I can watch it in the living room where my main box is but nowhere else.  Spent 3 to 4 hrs troubleshooting on the phone with them. Sending me my 3rd set of smaller boxes to try to figure this out. I told them if I have to pay$10 extra I better darned well be able to watch it on every TV I own.

I am extremely disappointed that this station was removed and will be an additional  charge. I was not given any warning.  I keep seeing that it was removed from basic. I do not have basic and it still was removed. You keep raising my bill, which is $392 a month. I am looking for new service.

This insp move makes me mad! I am seriously considering dropping all 3 services with xfinity.

This is the lowest trick I have seen you play! You are losing good paying customers because of stunts like this!

One of the best channels, Inspiration, has been moved to a different package along with turner movies, to a sports package that NOBODY WANTS!  But will raise your already too high bill by over $10 a month. Are you kidding me?!

just another [Edited: "Inflammatory"] ploy by Comcast/xfinity to drain your income by wanting you to pay up for quality programming. What a bunch of hogwash..,.[Edited: "Inflammatory"]. And it should be against the law for them to move channels off our plan whenever they want to. When their customers sign up for the plan, the cable company shouldn’t be able to just change it, then lie about the reason being a contractural issue m, [Edited: "Inflammatory"]

iam not paying $10 dollars more for a channel you promised in my package.  You are already upping what you call home security, which i didn't subscribe to by $6.  Seems like everytime i get my bill you have charged extra.  time to look elsewhere for my phone,t.v. & computer services.

At least you received an email letting you know. We found out by turning the channel on and found out I was a “charge” channel. Take some of the other channels who show horrible shows, full of sex, violence and just not good for families and put a charge on them…not the western channel!

The only reason I even pay over $300 is for my mom and that's one of the few channels she really watches. Apparently she's getting sick of them. We've been with them since 2005 and I'm probably gonna start saving money REAL soon, once she tells me she's done with them. I can't wait, cause I've been sick of them for more than 6 years and it they've only gotten worse.

Of course they want to raise the prices and continue taking away things we want. Doesn't cost them a thing to keep INSP, but they want charge us for it. I keep Xfinity for over $300 a month for my mother and my mother alone. She's already said thats she's sick of Xfinity, since that removed one of the few channels she watches. As soon as she says cut them, I get to save over $200 just to stream what she wants somewhere. Been with them about 19 years now and we probably won't make it to 20 years at the rate they're going. I've dealt with the price hikes because we've been getting the same stuff, but now, they're not worth it. There's no reason for me to keep paying more, just to keep getting less. I'll just pay for the INSP subscription through Frndly TV, Philo, Sling or Fubo TV and cut the TV service out with Xfinity.

I just signed a new contract for two years and my channel lineup included INSP.  You did the same thing a while back with TCM and I was furious then and I’m furious now.  DIRECTV,  Dish Network and Wow never did this.

Taking INSP away from the people who watch it the most is totally unfair!!!  The elderly demographics that mostly watch this channel are not people who can use “streaming” “on demand” or voice commands.  Besides, most of these people are on fixed incomes and struggle to pay their monthly bills.  You have taken away other channels in the past, but non as cruel as INSP (a channel that gives these people joy).  Please rethink this decision and give it back.  Besides, it was part of a “contract” we signed with xfinity.
