Xfinity charging for INSP

I just received an email from INSP that Xfinity is going to charge $10 for INSP even though INSP doesn’t charge Xfinity for their programming. I don’t want that to happen. Why would Xfinity do that?

Why doesn't INSP NOT allow Comcast to include their channel any more? The uproar from all INSP viewers may change Comcast's mind. I'm sure many will pay the $10 fee, including me as my mother wants it. But, if no one can get it, then that voice will be heard.

I agree this is not right.  iNSP is one of the stations my husband watches daily.  Sad that they have to gouge seniors. Just won’t be watching INSP I guess.

I’m huge mistake dropping INSP. Because that is the channel I watch the most I will be dropping comcast and moving to Hulu.

comcast, having trouble keeping subscribers?  For someone who has been paying you $200 a month for the last 30+ years I can tell you it is decisions like this that drives us away.

You might want to reconsider Hulu....Comcast owns a stake in it still.

What is going on here???? You take a channel with OLD....and I mean OLD TV Shows on it and put it with sports???

My mom has dementia and watched this channel daily. It was a constant in her routine, and, for anyone that knows dementia...that is very important.  My mom is 83, on a fixed Social Security income.  What she was paying for her cable was too much to begin with.  Now, you move the channel to a MORE EXPENSIVE package!  That is ridiculous!

This is an outrage! Charging for INSP is ageism since most of those watching INSP are older Americans. I guess many of us will have to switch to FIOS.

First it was Sundance now it's INSP.  Xfinity is a greedy Woke company milking their customers for every last dime.  INSP did not cost you a penny yet you want to charge $10 now.  To get older programs INSP and Sundance we are not being charged.  Corporate greed!!!  Now have to get a sports package that I do NOT watch just to see Gunsmoke.  Put it back xfinity.

I agree. Just spent 20 minutes holding for a technician only to find out that she didn't know much about it other than they did it. Funny thing, I have my Comcast package on the TV in bedroom and INSP is still there.

We are very unhappy about the move of insp to a paid lineup. Pluto never works right so that is of no help. Please bring insp back. We may have to cancel service if you are going to keep it off the regular lineup.

They've doing the same thing they did with TCM. Moving it to a sports package so now you have to pay more to get it.

They raise their prices and take away channels. Paying more and getting less.

Hello @user_289ab5, thanks for reaching out to share your feedback and express your concerns.

I apologize for any inconvenience caused by these changes. We regularly review our channel lineups and sometimes make changes to ensure we're offering a wide variety of content at the best value. While this change won’t cause the prices to go down on existing packages, it will help limit future increases in your bill.

Every month, Comcast pays programmers like networks, local TV station owners and others for the ability to bring their programming to you. The cost of programming generally continues to rise — in fact, our programming costs have more than doubled since 2006 — which can affect your bill. We absorb a large portion of these cost increases and are doing our best to manage them while still giving you the best value we can.

But Comcast doesn't pay INSP for it's programs so why do we have to pay for it?

This is such an incredibly stupid move by Xfinity that I wonder if they have hired the Bud Lite marketing team.  INSP is a favorite for older people who are living on fixed income.  You have taken away something they enjoy for a few more pieces of silver.  With Comcast losing an estimated 6,800 subscribers per day during 2023, I find it hard to believe they would risk losing even more.  I am still

under contract till next year but renewal with you will not be an option.
