Wild hockey Games Fall of 2026 - 2027

We subscribe to one of the upper tiers of Xfinity TV because it was required to watch the Twins, Wild, Timber wolves, etc. Since that time the Twins have moved to a new channel, and the Wild does not appear to be on Xfinity anymore (Don't know about Wolves). Is Xfinity going to make the Wild available on another channel (like the twins) or are they just going to not carry the Wild anymore? If they have dropped the Wild, I would expect a reduction in the monthly subscription we are paying?

Thank you for reaching out, @TimDH . We understand your concern, especially since you subscribe to a higher TV package to watch local Minnesota sports teams.

The Minnesota Wild recently announced new viewing options, including the Wild+ streaming service and distribution through select television providers. At this time, we do not have any information regarding additional Xfinity channel availability for Wild games. If channel agreements or availability change, updates will be communicated through official Xfinity channels.

Previously, games aired on FanDuel Sports Network North, which was available on Xfinity's Ultimate TV package, which we upgraded to for the Twins and Wild games. Now the Twins are on a separate channel (which is available on the Ultimate TV package), but you are telling us we still pay for the Ultimate tier, but we need to pay another $20 a month to see Wild games via a different method (wild.tv)? Xfinity should be reimbursing customers $20 a month to cover the cost of the Wild.tv subscription, at least during the hockey season. Xfinity needs to keep up with the changing markets or make adjustments to their TV packages.

I do apologize for the frustration, @TimDH . At this time, we do not have an agreement with Wild.tv, and programming decisions made by sports leagues, teams, or third-party streaming providers are outside of Xfinity's control. I understand your concern, especially since you upgraded to the Ultimate TV package specifically to watch Minnesota Twins and Wild games. When content moves from a traditional television network to a separate streaming platform, customers may need to subscribe directly to that service to continue accessing the broadcasts. We certainly value your feedback regarding the added cost and the impact these changes have on customers. I'll make sure your concerns are documented, as we understand how disappointing it can be when programming you've historically received through your TV package becomes available through a separate paid service. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us. ❤️

Just so we all know the greed is not just on the part of Xfinity:

For comparison, the Dallas Stars and Anaheim Ducks games are included free with a standard Prime membership — the Wild chose the paid add-on model instead.

Personally, I won't be watching the Wild this year. I guess if you live in the state of Hockey you are expected to pay more to watch the pros.

This may put me over the edge to dump cable tv through Xfinity. My Tivo is no longer supported and was FAR FAR superior to comcast's dvr. I pay $100 for 1 gig internet and can not get 1 gig through Tmobile for $50. At some point, it is just time to cut the cord. Paying over $300 per month in TV and Internet and can not get my local hockey team's games? Xfinity, this really make no sense.

Moving off Xfinity internet was my first step in eliminating all Xfinity services. I am on T-Mobile fiber internet (2G down, 2G up) for less than I was paying Xfinity for 800MB down, 12MB up. I have been on T-Mobile for 1 year now, there have been ZERO outages, slow downs, modem reboots, etc.

Now I am working on Xfinity TV, which my wife does not want to move away from. I am hoping this MN Wild fiasco will be the final straw that gets us off Xfinity and on to the future.

I already pay a ton in order to get local sports teams on xfinity.  If they aren't going to include it in their premium packages for no extra cost, then I want xfinity to give me a monthly discount of $19.99 to pay for Prime Video access.

I agree I have the sports package and Xfinity should include Wild Hockey at boxer change  My payments go up and now they won’t even explain the what is going on.

you can only talk with a virtual assistant that can’t even help.

Agreed.  About to walk away from xfinity.  This is terrible.  I only pay for the upgraded packages to watch MN sports.  Don't need it anymore if I can't watch MN sports.

(Had to spend an hour, or so, to calm down before I sent this.)  I subscribed to NHL Center Ice a few days ago to specifically watch Wild games, then discovered I couldn't watch the game tonight due to 'regional restrictions.'  Spent an hour with Comcast/Xfinity rep as she tried to re-send the cable signal - then she said that Wild games are not aired on Comcast/Xfinity due to MN Government rules.  Is she correct?  If so, WHAT KIND OF NONSENCE IS THIS!?  If I subscribe to Prime Video, will I be able to watch Wild games through Xfinity?  Probably enough blame to go around with all these guys battling each other for more dollars!  Just follow the Twins' example and put the games on one of your 'vacant' channels!!!

No. If you subscribe to Prime Video, you will NOT be able to watch the Wild games on xfinity. You will need to stream the games via the Prime Video app or their website. The good news is that you will not need the Amazon Prime account to setup a Prime Video account. Just a plain-Jane free Amazon account works nicely. But if you already have an Amazon Prime account, that works too.

The point is in MN we have to pay an additional $19/Mo to watch the Wild on Prime or Wild+, this has nothing to do with Xfintiy other than we were already paying them extra for a package that at one time included the MN sports teams and thus we should not have to pay an additional $19/mo to watch them outside of Xfintiy.

It was the Wild that decided we would have to pay the $19/Mo outside of Xfinity in MN. In a couple of markets they have a deal with teams and Amazon prime that you can stream the games via Prime without paying an additional $19/Mo.

The Minnesota Wild and the Minnesota Timberwolves both decided to create their own distribution companies because of all the turmoil that they went through when Bally and FanDual were involved. The Twins did the same thing, but THEY REMAIN on xfinity. Clearly even when those teams were shown directly on xfinity, they were receiving payments from Comcast. I have no problem with the Wild and T-Wolves creating their own distribution means (the Wild uses Prime Video, the T-Wolves are using a streaming service called DAZN). BUT we already PAY Comcast to carry those team feeds. NOW Comcast want to get greedier and create ANOTHER NEW AND MORE COSTLY level that would be require people to pay again for something we already are paying for. I am already paying Comcast a small fortune each month for top-level cable and internet. I am OK if I need to pay the sports teams separately for their games. BUT then Comcast must remove the charges for the Regional Sports Fees. I will not pay them even more to receive what I'm already paying for. There are good reasons why people are leaving xfinity cable in DROVES. I will pay for PRIME Video each season if I must. But not one more dime to Comcast.
