WHY IS COMCAST CHANGING TURNER CLASSIC MOVIES TO SPORTS PACKAGE IN OCTOBER?
I just received a notice from Comcast that they are removing TCM, Turner Classic Movies, from all current packages and moving it to the SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT PACKAGE? What possible logic is there to that brilliant change? TCM is widely viewed by many Comcast subscribers on their regular packages--NOT SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT PACKAGE! I URGE COMCAST TO LEAVE TCM WHERE IT IS. I am seriously considering cancelling my Comcast subscription over this.

How can they drop a channel and then re position it in a package that will cost you $9.95 more a month? And when I called they tried to tell me it would save me money!!! And it's in a sports package Comcast gets greedier by the day

Seems as if moving TCM hasn’t fooled anyone. Funny the customer service told me I would save money in the long run. Not a very good answer. I must say good bye when my contract is over. Honoring a contract is not a xfinity motto. Just as wrong as can be to take it away and still charge the same amount. Good grief .

Xfinity, aren't you being rash and greedy? Don't you realize that by tacking on additional fees to popular channels like TCM you only accelerate the cord-cutting movement?
Take a look at cordcuttersnews.com...

For what we all pay for all levels of X1 service, unilaterally taking away TCM (How much will you be lowering our bills for that, btw?) and sticking it in a paid sports packaghe, as iof someone inteersted in movies of the 20s-70s just must want yuet more access to football games (Not!) is insulting to paying customers. The move shopuld be reversed.

Where is my Turner Classic Movies. When I signed back up to Comcast, I had to upgrage my service to get TCM, now I go on, and it's gone, what gives? I am very disappointed! If I have to pay more for your service I will consider dropping cable. I'll be stuck with your internet because we don't have FIOS here YET

I am one unhappy customer!
Why has the AMC channel (in western PA) been moved into the Sports and Entertainment group for heavens sake? As you know this requires an additional cost. This isn't right. Please reconsider.

Just wanted to pass along my disappointment in Comcast moving TCM to a premium package that
seems to have no correlation to the other channels in the grouping. Not cool!
Just another reminder why I keep switching between providers every 2-3 years.....

I love to watch old classic tv shows and TCM Movies Course I am angry when losing two channel in September and October losing FRTV-TCM Channel,
I should not have to be force to take the sports channel to get TCM.
I rather have TCM Channnel rather being for to take the Sports Channel it does not make no since.

Xfinity is locking all the forum posts related to the poor decision they made of charging for TCM. So much for free speech! I am one of the 1000's (or millions) who are completely disgusted with this decision. We pay ridiculous rates they charge for channels we don't watch so that we can watch the few channels we want, and then they start charging for those. Breach of contract in my opinion. I have no problem moving to another provider and getting a better deal in the process. Good bye Comcast!
