WHY IS COMCAST CHANGING TURNER CLASSIC MOVIES TO SPORTS PACKAGE IN OCTOBER?
I just received a notice from Comcast that they are removing TCM, Turner Classic Movies, from all current packages and moving it to the SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT PACKAGE? What possible logic is there to that brilliant change? TCM is widely viewed by many Comcast subscribers on their regular packages--NOT SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT PACKAGE! I URGE COMCAST TO LEAVE TCM WHERE IT IS. I am seriously considering cancelling my Comcast subscription over this.

I don't watch sports. I watch TCM. Thanks a lot Comcast and keep the prices going up.

TCM is one of the only channels we watch on our already $195 monthly bill. We too have hung in there with rate hikes, bad service, and more. 😞 So, so, so, angry, and frustrated. It's always one thing after another. Thank you Comcast for providing the motivation to finally cut the cord. There's nothing worth watching on your lousy line up.

Just found out that Comcast has done the classic bait and switch. Can't wait for my current subscription to expire so I can dump it.

After 17+ years I switched to Comcast Cable to save money (in a package deal). In that time I have had the following problems (since May 2019)
There is NO doubt in my mind that when I move I am going back to DishTV! There is no doubt in my mind that I ma canceling the security system, (which was part of my cost savings package and which offers lousy service compared to ADT)
I am also planning to do the following and I suggest any of you who are as most disturbed about Comcast as I am also do:
Make your voices heard. Heck, I might even write a letter to Donald Trump! He has a reputation for telling folks what he thinks!.

I can’t believe after 30+ years of paying extra for Comcast cable they take away the one channel I truly value. It seems like I’m going to be forced to cut the wire now...

I don't have a question .... I have a statement.
Making TCM part of a sports package is ridiculous. I watch TCM regularly and have no interest in supporting sports channels or the associated overpayed sports personalities at all.
Xfinity is going to force me to start looking into streaming services whether I want to or not. It is hard for me to see this as anything other than an attempt to get more people to pay for sports networks that are way overpriced ... even though the offical statement would make you believe the opposite.
Xfinity is going to lose customers ... just accelerating the trend away from the wire.

This is just another dumb idea from Comcast to get more money for less service. I just resigned but am willing to pay the cancel fee just to dump them.

There are several internet services that provide TCM as part of their packages. If your only high speed internet option is from comcast you will still have to pay them for interent to use this services. You can read more info here: https://flixed.io/watch-tcm-without-cable/
