Why Aren't Los Angeles Laker Games on ESPN.

I went to watch the last two Laker games on ESPN and there was alternate programming on--thisis frustrating beyond belief--what's going on???  There shouldn't be a blackout in Clovis Ca

Clovis is in the NBA's "Lakers region" (pretty much all of southern California and southern Nevada), which means that if a game is on Spectrum SportsNet, other stations (e.g. ESPN, TNT) cannot air the game in your area. Never mind that Comcast doesn't carry it; now you know how people in Colorado that can't watch Nuggets games (because Comcast doesn't carry Altitude Sports either) feel.
The same applies to Clippers games on Fox Prime Ticket.

This doesn't just apply to the large networks; I get both the Warriors and Sacramento Kings channels (because one has San Francisco Giants baseball and the other has Oakland A's baseball and San Jose Sharks hockey), but since I live in the "Warriors zone," the Kings channel has to replace all Kings games with alternate programming, and the people in the Kings zone have the Warriors games on the Warriors channel replaced as well.
