Where to Watch Major League Baseball for 2026
When it comes to watching Major League Baseball® (MLB®) this season, Xfinity has all your bases covered. With so many games packed into a season, it’s no surprise there are plenty of ways to watch across local channels, cable TV, and streaming platforms. Here’s a refresher on what you need to know to watch your favorite teams and keep up with all the action this season.
How to watch Major League Baseball with cable
If you want to watch MLB on TV, you’re home safe with Xfinity TV. Watch nationally broadcast games on ESPN, FOX, FS1, TBS, or the MLB Network. You’ll need the Xfinity Popular TV package or above. Regional games are aired on local broadcast channels. Customers can also check out the Xfinity Sports & News TV package for both regional and national broadcasts.
MLB Network is the ultimate TV destination for baseball fans, bringing you live games, expert analysis, and news. You can add MLB Network to your X1 plan with the More Sports and Entertainment Package, which also gives you access to NFL RedZone, NBA TV, CBS Sports, and more.
If you have added MLB Extra Innings® to your X1 package, you get up to 90 out-of-market baseball games each week, and can find them in the X1 guide or Xfinity Stream app. You’ll also get access to MLB.TV, where you can stream every out of-market game live or On Demand on your favorite devices.
Get even more baseball on TV with Multiview
With Xfinity Multiview, X1 customers can enjoy multiple live events at once on the same screen. Throughout the season, select primetime MLB games will be available to add to your Multiview experience. You can watch baseball side-by-side with some of the biggest events in sports, including PGA TOUR tournaments or NCAA March Madness. Launch the Multiview feature in Xfinity TV Sports Zone app or MLB hub, or simply by saying “multiview” into your Xfinity TV Voice Remote.
How to stream Major League Baseball
Xfinity TV customers can stream MLB games with the Xfinity Stream App. Many TV networks—like ESPN or FOX—have their own streaming apps where you can watch after authenticating your Xfinity TV subscription.
Several subscription streaming services will air MLB games, some of which will be exclusive:
- MLB.TV: Stream out-of-market games with a subscription to MLB.TV or MLB Extra Innings. In-market streaming packages are available for select teams.
- Peacock: Features Sunday Night Baseball (livestream of the NBC broadcast), Sunday Leadoff games, Opening Day, and the Wild Card round. Peacock also offers add-on subscriptions for several NBC Sports Regional Networks, which air local MLB, NHL, and NBA games, along with pre- and post-game coverage, news, and more.
- Apple TV+: Features two exclusive MLB games each week for Friday Night Baseball.
- ESPN+: Streams weekday games.
- Netflix: Exclusively streaming Opening Night and two special events: the T-Mobile HomeRun Derby and the MLB at Field of Dreams game
