What has happened to the Bally Sports channels? What is xfinity's overall problem? Seems like a top-down issue.

I have Bally Sports and Bally Sports Southeast.  Neither of them is broadcasting when I arrived home tonight.  I pay for television for the sole purpose of having live sports.  I could watch neither Cardinals nor Braves games tonight.  There is no error message, only the striped screen from the days of yore.  I have seen this discussed in past threads while researching, but came away with no definitive answer there.  Is there some kind of carriage dispute going on that I am unaware of?  I pay for the full sports package, but these are just the regional networks that we have always gotten.

It seems like xfinity has fallen completely on its bottom in the last couple of years.  Most recently, my neighborhood has been a service desert for the last two months, but you cannot contact anyone at corporate to let them know that they have a serious problem.  Several service techs in the area have mentioned that they plan to find other employment because not only will the company not listen to the customers here, but they also will not listen to the technicians that tell them there is a problem here.

Hi, @user_836713. Thank you for reaching out to let us know about your recent experience with Bally Sports and Bally Sports SE. I can confirm we don't have any known issue with Bally Sports, and you should have no problem getting their content. I'm sorry to hear you've had some trouble. Do you see this issue with both the SD and HD channels? Did things clear up after the games ended, or is the issue still present? Lastly, can I have more details about the service issues you've been experience as well?

It is constant in Tallahassee, FL. - Only the Bally Sports channels (402 and 403) out of all the channels have issues.  It digitizes and get the colored bars.  This has been an issue since Bally got those channels - and without a doubt, Comcast has to know it.

"I pay for the full sports package, but these are just the regional networks that we have always gotten." What do you expect to be on what I assume is the Sports & Entertainment Package? You're not going to get, say, Fox Sports Bay Area if you don't live anywhere near northern California, and even if you did get it, the Giants (baseball) and Warriors (NBA) games would have to be blacked out where you live - and Comcast has no say in the matter. Back when I had AT&T U-Verse, that included all of the regional sports channels, nationwide, but outside of the two San Francisco area channels (and even then, Sacramento Kings games couldn't be shown), all of the NBA, NHL, and baseball games on them had to be blacked out.

Something does sound wrong, however; it depends on where you live, but I don't think that two different baseball teams, on two different sports channels that you get, should have been blacked out.

Comcast is just a joke....  I pay for the Sports package, it includes Bally Sports regional, I live in the Southwest region, yet when games are televised it shows them on in the guide, but there is some rerun of some unrelated something or some random who knows what...  no games.  Comcast...  hilarious.

@user_289ec5 - just because you get a channel doesn't mean you necessarily live in all of those teams' broadcast areas - and outside of those areas, Comcast has to show an "alternative feed" where they show, for example, a car auction. For example, everybody in the San Francisco Bay Area gets the channel that has the Sacramento Kings, but all of the Kings games are replaced.

Then again, it could be a local Comcast error, and it's sending you the wrong feed for that channel. Can you tell us in what general part of the country (include a state if possible) you live, and what teams' games aren't being shown?

Why aren't the Dallas Mavericks being showed on none of the Bally Sports channels. It has their games on the guide, but when you go to one of the Bally Sports channels, it is showing another program. Can anyone tell me why?..

@user_404c56 It may depend on what your ZIP code is. Go to this site, then scroll down to where it says "What Can I Watch?", and type in your ZIP code and click on "Submit." Right below "What Can I Watch?," if it says that you can't watch Mavericks games on NBA League Pass, then you should be able to watch them on Bally Sports, but if it shows another team (say, the Houston Rockets or San Antonio Spurs), then Xfinity is required to black out Mavericks games on Bally Sports, and the problem is that you have the wrong version of that channel in the guide. Technically, either way it's Xfinity's fault.

Hi,user_404c56. Thank you for reaching out to let us know about your recent experience with Bally Sports and Bally Sports SE. I can confirm we don't have any known issue with Bally Sports

It sounds like to me there may be an issue with the feed. Does it do it on all of the Bally channels? Depending what area you are in, they should be channels 53, 519, and 1250. IF it is happening on all of them, can you send us a direct message so I can troubleshoot more in depth? You can send one by clicking the " direct message" icon in the upper right corner of our forum page by the alerts icon. Once you click on that, click the new message icon that looks like a pencil and paper. From there, input our shared handle Xfinity Support to send us a direct message.

@user_7f5d17 Thank you for reaching out via our Xfinity Forums. I was watching a show in SD the other day and saw what you are talking about with it being all blurry. I would not want to watch something that way if I can avoid it. Have you checked to see if the channel you are watching that game on has an HD option? If not, I would be happy to check for you, or you can use the following link to check your local channel line up. https://www.xfinity.com/support/local-channel-lineup.  If you would like us to check please send a direct message with your full name and address.

To send a "Direct Message" message:
