Dnsara2 Hello! Thank you for sharing that the wrong area is showing on the Weather Channel programming. I'm sorry that it's not giving you the local details that you need. I am happy to help out!
Are you using a cable box or the Xfinity Streaming app when accessing the weather channel?

The issue is NOT the cable box. All xfinity customers in my area are experiencing the same issue. If you look at the community forum, people are posting from Indiana, PA and other states.

Dnsara2 The trouble with the weather channel showing the wrong area through the cable box would need to be investigated by our repair team. If the issue is within the headend as suggested in your research, we would need the repair team to contact the local headend for assistance. If the issue is beyond the local headend, the repair team would be able to work with the X1 teams to ensure our cable boxes are receiving the correct information for their current locations. Due to this we would need to create a request for your account to have the investigation completed. With other's reporting the issue we would need to work with them individually as well to create requests for their systems to have the issue repaired. If the repair team identify a system issue, the creation of the requests and examples shared would allow them to identify the system issue and work to release an update to correct the data on the devices.

Let's work together to get this reported to our teams so that we can have the data on the weather channel corrected.
Can you please send us a direct message with your name and service address to create the request with our teams?
Here are the detailed steps to direct message us:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon
Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon
In the "To:" line, type "Xfinity Support"
As you type, a drop-down list will appear. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list.
A "Xfinity Support" graphic will replace the "To:" line.
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window.
Press Enter to send it.
