weather channel local forecast

Comcast Folks:

If you look at the number of posts about The Weather Channel lacking local forecast information and instead defaulting to the "hotel version," which shows only 4 national regions, one would think you'd do something about this.  You'd think you'd work on it between you and The Weather Channel. This isn't our boxes, resetting things, or anything else.  It is your feed that you send to us the customer through the cable lines that goes bad.  

This is a YOUR FEED problem.  At a certain point, you receive a broadcast signal via satellite--it's not all cable wires from Jim Cantore's laptop in the studio to our cable boxes end to end.

I'll give you that The Weather Channel has been hacked in the past and had to switch to a different format to send their feeds.  But they are up front about it.  They tell you it has happened.  Currently (8/30/26-9/2/26) there is no indication of any sort of problem the Weather Channel is having.  

I have WATCHED the local forecast 'blip out' and come back.  I wish to heck I had a phone handy to capture this and prove it.  When I say 'blip out' I mean that the normal local forecast starts to come on (at 18 and 48 minutes of the hour) it gets to the screen of showing temp, winds, humidity and dew point, then turns to the local radar screen--and then, just like the old rabbit ears TV days, it fades and the national hotel version comes in.  It almost looks like a power point animation effect of the next screen coming in from the left--except it is chaotic, not even across the screen, and has a great deal of pixelation until the hotel version takes completely over.  On good days, this only lasts 8 or 9 seconds and then the local forecast comes back. 

On bad days, it takes 24 hours or more to get fixed.  Currently, IT HAS BEEN 4 DAYS in the Detroit market.  

Please fix this issue.  Again, it is YOUR feed.  You know it is.
