Vudu not connecting and all other apps (Netflix, Paramount +.......)

Been on the phone for three days now....multiple re-boots on boxes and modems.......

If I don't use the X1 interface Vudu connects just fine and all the other apps load instantly..... Xfinity just keeps saying "Don't worry, it will work" yet refused to believe its a issue on their end! Getting about ready to cancel my account and get another provider that will actually fix their issues!

Hey there, @user_021230. I am sorry to read you're having difficulties with the VUDU app through your X1 cable box. Is it only one specific box you're having the issue with or multiple? I understand you've accomplished the resets to the box in question along with your modem.

@XfinityBradM​ - Every box in the house! They sent a tech out yesterday. He checked all the cables in house - good! Checked internet - good! He changed the X1 box - same problem. I printed out the messages on the forum that show this is an on-going issue for many users. He agreed that the connection timeout and resulting hardware error was because X1 is taking too long to "hook" into Vudu. I showed him that if I don't use the X1 and go through the TV Vudu instantly loads as well as all the other apps. Through the X1 Vudu times out and everything else loads slow......really slow. He called into to his supervisor, and they set up an X1 box in their work room and tried to launch Vudu, they got the same connection error! Starting to shop around for other options...don't like paying for services that don't work and when you call you get someone from overseas that reads a script....1) Change the batteries in the remote. 2) Change the resolution on your TV. 3) Re-start the TV box. 4) re-start the modem.

@user_021230 Thanks for the update on having the tech out and then them running into the same issues with a separate cable box at a separate location. It sounds like this is an ongoing issue and our engineers will be working to get the app working on our X1 cable boxes.

I’m having the same problem Vudu app will not connect on my Xfinity X1 Box model: XG1v4-A keep getting connection time out err. Message. Xfinity please FIX this issue ASAP!!!!
