"This channel is temporarily unavailable" message

Hi,


I've been having a problem where I get a message that reads "This channel is temporarily unavailable" when I try to watch several channels. I've tried rebooting my cable boxes and have done a system refresh, but the problem persists. How can I get this resolved?

The Xfinity cable program guide bears no relation to the actual cable channel placement. For instance what was channel 11 CBS two days ago is now a JTV. When I try to select a channel from the guide I get your Channel temporarily not available message. I have restarted, I have refreshed and I have turned it off and back on after 1 minute. What next? Please.

Thanks for taking the time to reach out to us regarding the guide not showing the channels correctly. I can understand how frustrating it can be to not see the programming correctly. Can you confirm which guide view you are viewing? 

  • All Channels
  • Free To Me (View channels you're entitled to)
  • HD Channels
  • Favorites (channels that you've added to your Favorites list)
  • Trending (popular programming)
  • Movies
  • Sports
  • Kids

I no longer work for Comcast.

Having the same issues with just one channel.  Says that this channel is temporarily unavailable on all our tv boxes but I am able to watch the channel in the xfinity stream app. Did a system refresh and a reboot of the boxes and that didn’t work.
