sound dropouts on NBC Chicago

Channel 188 random short sound drops randomly for at least a week..anyone else notice this?

This issue with channel 188 (NBC) has been going on for months, both on cable and while streaming. Happens on all TVs in my house.  All I keep seeing from Xfinity is users need to try to fix it.  How many people have to complain about the issue before Xfinity takes ownership of the issue?

It is October 2023 and we are having this same issue with NBC Chicago only.

I'm also seeing it in Mt. Prospect.    It may only happen when the X1 box is set to DD or Expert audio.  My receiver seems to show a glitch in the DD and then it comes back.    Interestingly, I have Peacock Premium Plus and the problem never happens when streaming the live NBC channel from it, even on the same X1 box.

Why do people have to jump through hoops checking their equipment? Obviously it’s not each box, as others have noted. Right now, Saturday night, Notre Dame football, same [Edited: "Language"] thing happening. Still happening only on 188. Fix it Comcast!

NBC 188 audio has intermittently dropped out on my XG2v2 box which I’ve had a few months. It also intermittently dropped out on my previous Pace RNG150 box. The problem is obviously an issue on the signal senders side.

Does Comcast own NBC?

I also lost video last night like you did. Had to switch from 188 to the standard def channel (it also had audio glitches occasionally too, but at least a picture). That was after I had already instinctively rebooted my box before I ever came on the forum.
