Showtime/Paramount Plus merger late June

I already get Showtime as part of my service, will I also get Paramount Plus content when the merger happens? I have HBO (now Max) and get Discovery Plus content now on Max so was able to cancel D+.

Will Paramount+ content be added to Showtime, or all Showtime content move over to Paramount?

From the looks of it, it appears that Showtime is becoming part of Paramount+; you can get Paramount+ without Showtime, but not the other way around.

What do you pay per month now for Showtime? There are two Showtime-included levels of Paramount+; one has ads on the non-Showtime shows, but the other does not. Right now, they both show the same cost ($12/month, or $120/year), although that may be an introductory or promotional rate for the non-ad one.

@ThatDonGuy Showtime is free with my channel package. So will Showtime just disappear for me, or is Comcast going to replace it for customers with Paramount Plus? 2 free premium channels (MAX and Showtime for me, I'd think they'd replace it with P+. Haven't heard from Comcast on how they are going to handle this

It's not really up to Comcast to handle it. It's more on Paramount. You may be able to use the Paramount+ app, but only have access to the Showtime material. I have P+, and can see Showtime material, but currently cannot play it.

@andyross Comcast could at least give a heads up in advance. My understanding is Showtime will not really exist, it's content just folded into P+. In a sense I am paying for Showtime as part of my overall package, not billed separately, so I'm asking because it only makes sense that P+ would take the place of Showtime so I am not missing a channel I pay for. Or they could reduce my monthly bill (haha!)
