RSN Fee with the loss of NBC Sports Chicago?
Why has the RSN fee not gone down now that NBC Sports Chicago is no longer a channel? You have not picked up CHSN, so I would expect a reduction in fees. I chatted with support yesterday and was told that the fee would not be going down because of Marquee and Big Ten Network. Reduce the fee or carry CHSN, I expect a credit for October.

Thank you for reaching out @ji0005 I am sorry for how the loss of a channel has made you feel. The Regional Sports Network fee is an itemized charge. It isn’t a government-mandated fee and may change from time to time. It's based on the costs we incur to provide regional sports networks to our Xfinity TV customers. These costs include the fees regional sports networks charge us to carry them on our cable systems, which are among the fastest growing components of our programming costs. The Regional Sports Network fee isn’t included as part of our promotional pricing or pricing under your contract and can increase during your promotion or contract. You'll receive advance notice before an increase takes effect. Comcast is going to lose a ton of customers by not having CSHN!
Ridiculous! It's a free channel!
Wake up Concast before it's too late!

Why am I being charged an RSN fee if you no longer have a contract with regional Sportsnet network. Then you give us a bunch of [Edited: "Language"] about how it’s to cover other sports. Xfinity is a bunch of [Edited: "Language"]. You can’t charge for something you don’t provide. please contact me to further discuss and make it someone that actually knows what they’re talking about. It’s funny that there’s no longer a contract but none of your employees seem to know that or what to do. And what about that news report article that you wrote about giving credit back for the RSN loss of contract. Did you change your mind on that too. Such a rip off company.

If you dare to raise this fee again, I'm going back to over the air programing. One of the main reasons I have cable is to watch Nascar. If it goes to alot of streaming races next year, like they are proposing, I'm for sure not keeping cable!

Did you notice that all of their answers are generic and boilerplate? Respond the same way to each question. LAME

I agree with this poster. I know for a fact each sports network was getting paid a minimum of $10/month and without the Bulls/Hawks/Sox the cost should go down commensurately.

Agree. We pay $20 a month for RSN Chicago and it’s gone. The rep keeps saying “it’s not part of your package”-AGREED. Remove the charge. This is ridiculous. And I worked in cable distribution before-Big Ten is NOT a part of the regional sports licensing fees.
