Removal of Scripps

I believe I pay enough already for Xfinity to be able to settle with Scripps fairly.  I am now looking into how to get my channels through another service , as so many already have.  Think carefully about what you are doing to your base customers. They have other options.

@user_1x973c Hello there, and thank you for reaching out to Xfinity Forums.

On March 31, 2026, at 5:59 p.m. Eastern Time (ET), Comcast’s agreement with E. W. Scripps to carry its programming expired. As a result, E. W. Scripps’s programming can no longer be carried by Xfinity or Comcast Business, including any related programming on Xfinity Stream and On Demand.

Comcast pays programmers to bring customers the entertainment, information, and sports they want. Comcast works to negotiate fair terms in order to ensure the greatest value for customers, given all the ways content can be accessed today. A number of reasonable offers have been made that E. W. Scripps hasn’t accepted. Comcast continues to work towards making this programming available again with fair pricing and terms for our customers.

E. W. Scripps owns and operates 40 broadcast stations nationwide in the Comcast footprint, including:

  • 19 Big Four stations (e.g., ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC), and
  • 21 non-Big Four stations (e.g., Independent).

For the full list of affected programming in your area, see xfinity.com/programmingchanges
